This is a lovely Italian restaurant facing Hemingway’s Ambos Mundos hotel, where the writer stayed from 1932 to 1939 while writing For Whom the Bell Tolls in Habana Vieja. The food is reasonably priced, and the live music performance really upped the experience. The Bolognese, Dominica and Carbonara pastas are great choices. Pizzas here are average and the mushroom risotto was a miss, at least the night of our visit – it was undercooked and quite salty. The service is a little bit slow but the staff is pleasant. The nice wine list is an additional draw.
