This is the kind of place that you might overlook if you don’t look for it carefully. The sign is practically hidden from the streets and so, it looks like a house rather than a café. I was doing some errands in the area and then I remembered that a friend had recommended Belview Art Café. It turns out that his recommendation barely did the restaurant justice. From the moment you enter, you’ll notice its cool Berlin vibe, as well as its warm hospitality and impeccable design. The walls of these Vedado houses are typical with tall pillars which are covered in spectacular photos. Before you choose a table, you have to tour around the hidden nooks of the café and appreciate its charm. All the decorative details are well considered and crafted. As a result of that, the café boasts an original, eclectic style that is different from what prevails in Cuba. Each little corner of the Belview Art Café is pleasant and welcoming.
Of course, the food is also amazing. The menu is interesting and simple with a gourmet touch. This spot is ideal for light meals such as breakfast and quick lunches. Their eggs are fabulous. The fruits, homemade bread and yogurt combination is also impeccable. They serve good coffee and freshly squeezed natural juices to complete your breakfast routine. In addition to some interesting German recipes, there are sweet and savory crepes and vegetarian options, too. On Saturdays, they sell homemade bread upon request. You can order them via email or over the phone. The bread is really something. This is a worthy breakfast location. Drop by earlier on in the day as they close at 6 pm.Enjoy!
