This art institution was inaugurated on November 15th, 1986, and is best known for its photographic exhibitions. La Fototeca de Cuba consists of two exhibiting rooms – María Eugenia Haya and Joaquín Blez, named after two of the country’s most acclaimed photographers. “Photographic November” is one of the most important annual events on the gallery’s events calendar, showcasing photographic works from both Cuban and foreign photographers. One of the most impressive collections at the gallery, which no visitor should miss, is the photo archive of Old Havana in the early 1900s.
