This subterranean, cramped, smoky jazz club is the epitome of the genuine jazz joint –think of the Village Vanguard. Located in Vedado just a few blocks off the Malecón, its tiny stage has seen some of the brightest stars of the Cuban jazz scene, ranging from Chucho Valdés to Roberto Fonseca to spontaneous visits from international giants like Wynton Marsalis. The entrance is $10 CUC, and slightly more if there is a special performance. There are also spectacular performances from the young, up and coming Cuban jazz crowd in the line-up every night. It’s in La Rampa; you wont miss it, the entrance is a red London phone booth.
