Located on the sunny 1stAvenue of Miramar, Al Pescatore is just in front of the legendary Copacabana Hotel. Modern and spacious, the restaurant has this inviting beach vibe, which is typical of the area. The all-white décor is complemented with a lot of natural wood. A mural of Hemingway’s face is also adorned near the entrance, and it is unmistakable for those who walk in for a quality lunch. Ideal for large families or business meetings, Al Pescatore has a spacious, air-conditioned lounge, as well as an elegant and tasteful outdoor area for those who enjoy al fresco dining.
This is an excellent Italian restaurant, where the quality of the products and ingredients is a priority. The well-kept menu is brimming with various Italian culinary delights such as fresh pastas, handmade pizzas, succulent meats and seafood sensations. The Italian antipasti make perfect starters, especially the cold appetizers of the sea. If you are in the mood for red meats, we recommend the steak with tartufo. Cooked with precision and drizzled with an appetizing sauce, the steak was very tender and juicy. We also tried the gnocchi with pumpkin and blue cheese — very delicious.
It is worth saying that they have an interesting Italian wine list and a good selection of Cuban premium rums. Dessert lovers will be delighted to know that they offer a variety of artisanal ice cream from the popular La Casa del Gelato ice cream shop. We’re definitely excited to see more and more upscale Italian restaurants showing up in Havana. And Al Pescatore is undoubtedly one of them.
