We just revisited this newish and slightly more spacious annex of Havana’s coolest but enduring “in” bar, O’Reilly 304, just across the street. Their drinks are still some of the very best in a city, whether classic daiquiris, inventive gin and tonics and premium spirits, or dozens of other drinks boating local fruit muddles, purées, or syrups. The food menu isn’t extensive but offers outstanding ceviches, pasta, and fish tacos. We suggest building a meal out of the bar bites listed on the blackboard:: Arroz con pollo croquettes with light hints of saffron that exceeded the best arrancini we’ve had in Sicily. Patatas bravas, adroitly prepared with the thinnest hint of crust, are even better if you ditch the orangey mayonnaise for the hot pepper and parsley chutney. Don’t miss the rooftop tables if the weather is right. 303 O’Reilly, Habana Vieja, Havana, + 53 78630206
